After more than five years of constant beat downs from Grand Valley the Hillsdale Chargers men's basketball team finally came through with a win over the Lakers in a thriller everyone on hand will remember for a long time. Freshman guard Tyler Gerber hit a crazy reverse layup while falling to the ground to send the game to overtime and the Chargers hung on with the help of a clutch 3-pointer from junior Luke Laser. Gerber and senior point guard Keith MacKenzie talked about the biggest win of their careers following the contest.

On Saturday the Hillsdale College Chargers defeated GLIAc foe Grand Valley State for the first time since Jan. 17, 2004 in an 86-83 overtime thriller. The crowd was great, the emotions were crazy and it was a true classic. Chargers head coach John Tharp talks about what the win means for the program and gives some honest answers about the contest.
